Carol Muske-Dukes is Poet Laureate of California. Viking will publish her eighth book of poems, Twin Cities, in 2011. Sparrow (Random House, 2003) was a National Book Award finalist. Channeling Mark Twain (Random House, 2008) is the most recent of her four novels.
