Marilyn Chin's books of poems include Rhapsody in Plain Yellow; The Phoenix Gone, the Terrace Empty; and Dwarf Bamboo. Her new book of tales is called Revenge of the Mooncake Vixen. Her work is widely anthologized and is taught in classrooms all over the world.
Prairie Schooner, a national literary quarterly published with the support of the English Department at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and the University of Nebraska Press, is home to the best fiction, poetry, essays, and reviews being published today by beginning, mid-career, and established writers. The magazine has presented work by Pulitzer Prize winners, Nobel laureates, National Endowment for the Arts recipients, and MacArthur and Guggenheim Fellows. Work first published in Prairie Schooner has been reprinted or cited in the Pushcart Prize volumes, Best American Essays, Best American Short Stories, and Best American Poetry.
