Alan Shapiro is the author of eleven collections of poetry, a memoir, and a novel. He published two books in 2012: Broadway Baby, a novel from Algonquin Books of Chapel Hill; and Night of the Republic, a collection of poetry from Houghton Mifflin Harcourt.
