Jeanne Marie Beaumont - New York, NY (USA):

April 14, 2001:
This book teaches how to produce silk handkerchiefs out of a candle.
This book was my great aunts and defines "new words" of 1931
like addict, blurb, botulism, empathy, Fascism, free verse, fundamentalism, jazz, novocaine, plywood,
    and whoopee.
Shh...here lie the cookbooks under a thickening blanket of dust.
When people say "you could look it up," this is the actual
book you can look it up in.
And this little book fits in the doll's hand, his thumb marking
where he stopped reading when god painted over his eyes.
