Kathleen Lynch - Loomis, CA (USA):

April 03, 2001:
Tighten your abs; own your feelings.
The heart is a pump.
The heart is a mother-built house.
This tells you the way to get to Heaven.
This tells you how to get to Albuquerque.

    this book -- too many
words -- black blocks of dense thinking

    outside -- white blossoms!

April 10, 2001:
This book was published the month I was born. It says, Parting,

the heart flies; it says, Love was the fox, & We are
    betrayed
by the kindred flesh. It says there is Magic and Melancholy;

Who goes there? it asks, Who is it now / Who’s lost
    among the ambiguities?
It says: I am glad for the mind’s turning, as if it
    already knew me.

April 25, 2001:
This is the book my father wrote
after we all left home. After he retired.
After he quit drinking. Before he died.
It's not finished. He typed "The Tree"
for a title, but crossed it out.

April 28, 2001:
This little book went to Market
This little book stayed home
This little book has roast beef
This little book has none
This little book cried Read! Read! Read! all the way home
