Ruby Hawkins - Acworth, Georgia (USA):

April 04, 2001:
This book is a long tale untold
This book fools the eyes of idiots
You can read this book an eternity
and hold in a thimble all its woes
This books story can never be told

April 06, 2001:
This book originaly exploded from a black hole
This book splintered into many races
And spawned countless civilizations
Some settled on Venus, Earth, Jupiter and Mars
This book is ancient , decrepit and shows water marks
This book sits on the highest shelf of the library
This book hides behind stacks of literature
They stare at it in great amusement
This book tries to hide its shamed face
Wet salty tears roll down its battered spine

April 07, 2001:
This book was origionaly found by two brothers in a rattle snake
den on Taylors Ridge in Chattooga county
The snakes gladly gave up the book for a banana peanut butter
    sandwich
This book was so happy to be rescued it showed the boys
    the end of the rainbow
This book helped dig up the pot of gold and killed the
    wooly booger guarding it
This book was found to be so garbled it was thrown in
    the trash bin

April 08, 2001:
Dating back centuries this book has been known by many names and
    faces
In mythical times this book was called Thomas, Steven, Jeffrey, Gwinn and
    Gerald
In the last century it was known as Daniel, Alan, James, Sarah,
    Brice, Wesley and Rena
We are all very confused as to whether this book is a
    boy or girl
But we have a strong suspicion it is a boy dressed in
    girls clothing

April 09, 2001:
This book is made up of lies , tall tales , imaganation
and a lot of truth peppered in
This book tells of a boy named James riding his little sister
down the street in a stroller
This book tells him Sarah is to big for a stroller but
James denys the fact he says he would push her around the
    world and back
This book tells of Dan and Alan who are grown ups now
but once were grandmothers little guys
It tell of summer days and starry nights , humming birds and
butterflies, children safely home at night

April 10, 2001:
This book is an odious pig, a sluggard, a know it all
    bore
Never let yourself be stuck at a party with this book, this
    son of a mule
Its beady eyes and long slimy tentacles will hold you, there is
    no escape
Friends will turn their back on you and walk away with blank
    eyes
This book will rattle on and on untill at last the men
in white come to take you away

April 20, 2001:
This book established a beautiful fern garden with a bubbleing fountain
This book worked tirelessly carrying buckets of woods dirt and green moss
It also babysat the children of the house singing lullabys and telling
    fairy tales
There has never been a better gardener or baby sitter than this
    book
I reccomend if you ever get the chance that you hire this
    book pronto
