steve abbott - Columbus, OH (USA):

April 20, 2001:
This book was burned and we're still breathing its words.
This book was burned and became a quiet cancer in the lungs
of the man with the can of kerosene..
This book is inflammatory.
This book ignited a prairie fire that lit skies east and west,
cleared the land and called forth fireweed like birdsong.
This book is singing Geronimo and Billie Holiday, praise songs and revolution,
whispering love poems and chanting the moon higher in a naked tree.
