Nick Carbo is the author of two books of poetry published by Tia Chucha Press: El Grupo McDonald's (1995) and Secret Asian Man (2000). He is the editor of the groundbreaking anthology of Filipino and Filipino American poetry, Returning A Borrowed Tongue (Coffee House Press 1996), and the coeditor with Eileen Tabios of Babaylan: An Anthology of Filipina and Filipina American Women's Writing (Aunt Lute Books 2000). Among his awards are fellowships in poetry from the National Endowment for the Arts and the New York Foundation for the Arts. He lives in Miami, FL with his beautiful poet wife Denise Duhamel.
